Overview

Polyvine Metallic Shimmer is a luminous pearlised paint that dries to a polished lustre that can be applied to Interior walls, ornate plasterwork, picture frames, furniture and pottery or exterior, gates, railings, ornaments, sculptures and door furniture. Create the metallic colour of your choice as pearlescent pigments and traditional colour pigments can be uniquely combined to create beautiful non-tarnishing shimmering colours. It creates a highly durable finish that is both water and heat resistant whilst adding shimmering richness and timeless luxury to a wide range of architectural elements.

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are sound, clean, dry and free from rust and contamination. On previously painted surfaces lightly abrade to provide a key.

Application

Always test the product on the surface to be painted before embarking on the project to ensure you are happy with the finished results. High temperatures or direct sunlight will affect working time. Do not apply when rain is imminent. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the container.

• When adding the colourant pour 500ml of Metallic Shimmer into a mixing vessel and add a whole bottle 50g of Polyvine Acrylic Colourant. Ensure the product is thoroughly mixed .
• To create paler colours or tints just add smaller amounts of colourant and for darker tints, use more colourant.
• Apply using a good quality brush.
• Apply 2-3 coats, allow to dry for 4 hours between coats.

Caution: Light reflection will accentuate brush marks and imperfections in the background. The covering ability of this paint will vary with the colour.
